AI-Presbyopia Classification System for Surgical Decision-making

An artificial intelligence (AI)-based classification system of presbyopic eyes forsurgical decision-making developed by Zhu and Zhou, based on lens functional and structural features.

Information with * need to be filled for classification.

About

The AI-Presbyopia Classification System is a novel artificial intelligence (AI)-based classification of presbyopic eyes for surgical decision-making, developed by Zhu and Zhou, based on lens functional and structural features.

Instructions

The AI-Presbyopia Classification System requires compulsory information input of DLI by iTrace, average lens density by Pentacam (LD-P), Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3 by Pentacam; and optional information input of average lens density by SS-OCT (LDS). We recommend DLI measurement using the i-Trace Visual Function Analyzer within a 6-mm diameter zone. Lens density measurement with 3D scan modes by Pentacam HR is also recommended. Average lens density values and zone values (Zone 1: 2.0 mm, Zone 2: 4.0 mm, and Zone 3: 6.0 mm) were calculated using the built-in software . Lens density of SS-OCT cross-sectional images was quantitatively analyzed using ImageJ software (as shown in the following picture). Full pupillary dilation is necessary during the examination.

Lens Density Analysis

The training dataset has updated to 1 Apr 2024, we will continue to include new data to improve the performance of the AI-based classification system.
